Education – Sustainability – Network
Dates: Friday 16 February – Sunday 18 March 2018
Venue: Spot A (St James Cavalier)
Entrance: Free
The Action Planet exhibition is part of a nationwide sustainability initiative that encourages and empowers people to take an active role in safeguarding the planet for present and future generations.
Action Planet brings together schools, higher education institutes, NGO’s, government ministries, organisations, outreach organisations, businesses and artists to form an important network to help raise awareness and find solutions to improve Malta’s sustainability. This network collaborates by sharing skills and knowledge, encouraging and supporting research and exploring ways of using creative tools to effectively communicate to a larger audience.
The 2017 student initiative culminates in an exhibition which forms part of the Spazju Kreattiv season programme. It showcases student research, art installations, interactive media, sound installations, photographs and media projects. It is supported by The Ministry of Education and Employment; The Ministry for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change and The Energy and Water Agency. The event is endorsed by the Valletta 2018 Foundation.
This event is supported by a series of national events and workshops. More information here and here.
