ĊineXjenza: Manchester by the Sea

Manchester by the Sea revolves around the janitor Lee Chandler, who ends up as the guardian of his 16-year-old nephew after his brother’s cardiac arrest.

This event forces Lee to reluctantly return to his hometown – Manchester – to bury his brother, whilst unfortunately reliving his past when he was still living with his wife. The string of unassuaged pain, contrasting feelings, and the character’s reactions are prominent throughout the whole film.

Matthew Paris is the guest speaker that will be leading the discussion that occurs after the film. Free-of-charge refreshments and wine will be provided.

CineXjenza is supported by the Tiskopri project. It is run by the Malta Chamber of Scientists, in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv and S-Cubed.
