ĊineXjenza: Sex, Murder and Covid

15 March 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Date and time
Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 7pm

Spazju Kreattiv Cinema will be hosting Sir David Spiegelhalter who will be speaking about “Sex, Murder and Covid: how statistics are vital to understand the world”.

The pandemic has, without a doubt, demonstrated how much data becomes important in times of crisis. However, good data is always essential, as it helps us tackle complex questions about what’s happening in society. For this reason, Sir Spiegelhalter will be sharing his own experience on various topics such as: investigating whether a serial killer could have been caught earlier, the measure of human sexual behaviour, as well as, uses of data science in the modern world.

CineXjenza is supported by the STEAM Project. It is run by S-Cubed and The Malta Chamber of Scientists collaborating with Spazju Kreattiv.

Creative team: Giulia Maria Tabone (Event Manager), Dr Edward Duca, Prof Andre Xuereb, Anna D’Alessandro, Ana Rajic
