Elektronika is a project which aims to develop a historiography of electronic music in Malta. In the past year Elektronika went through a research phase during which the development and evolution of the electronic music scene in Malta was explored. Last March, this first research phase of Elektronika was concluded with a presentation by Michael Bugeja and Toni Sant from the M3P Foundation.

In this upcoming public event, Edwin Balzan from Electronic Music Malta will lead a discussion about what an upcoming phase of this project could look like. This discussion will take the form of a consultation, and will include Michael Bugeja, Toni Sant and other guests. Ideas will be explored so as to make Elektronika evolve into a programme involving themed performances, exhibitions, more research including interviews with other pioneers of this music style and more.
