Finding the I in China is a cultural education project organised by the Palace Museum (the Forbidden City) in Beijing. It consists of three highly-popular and traditional workshops, based on the rich history and valuable collections of the Palace Museum. The programme caters for children and teenagers between the ages of 6-17, and consists of sessions which may be adapted to suit groups or individuals, through hands-on activities integrating creativity with knowledge acquisition. Participants shall be provided with materials, simple instructions and guidance, to produce a cultural item on their own and enjoy a sense of accomplishment, as well as derive a certain understanding of the cultural significance of their creation.
This project is being held in collaboration with the China Cultural Centre.
