Individual differences in cognition: What can they tell us about our worldviews

4 March 2025 @ 7:00 pm

This talk will explore the relationship between beliefs, cognition, and behavior in diverse societies, focusing on how social and cognitive factors shape worldviews—frameworks for interpreting the world. Worldviews are categorized into five types: Localised, Orthodox, Pragmatist, Reward, and Survivor.

The presentation will provide evidence linking social values to these worldviews, highlighting how societal context influences belief systems. It will also examine how individual cognitive processes relate to different worldviews, offering insights into how diverse perceptions and experiences can promote unity and contribute to a more harmonious society. Join DrRebekah Mifsud on March 4th, 2025, at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta, for a talk and discussion on these topics.

The event is supported by Spazju Kreattiv, the University of Malta, and the Malta Chamber of Scientists.
