Malta Café Scientifique – Eating well without eating the planet

5 December 2023 @ 7:00 pm

Agriculture is at the heart of our food systems and indubitably influences our health; as the Maltese population grows, so too does our dependence on the rural sector to feed and nourish us.

Join this talk by Professor Byron Baron from the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Biobanking of the University of Malta on December 5th, 2023, 7pm hosted by the Malta Café Scientifique in Studio B at Spazju Kreattiv to unearth the bond between agricultural practices, our health (particularly colorectal cancer) and Malta’s natural environment.

Discover how the transition to sustainable agriculture is crucial to ensure the cultivation of nourishing produce, while restoring environmental health and ultimately improving our well-being.

Malta Café Scientifique thanks the STEAM project, Spazju Kreattiv, for hosting this event, the University of Malta, and Malta Chamber of Scientists (of which the café forms part).
