The MPO returns to Spazju Kreattiv to present a chamber concert as part of the collaboration series.

Opus 7 served to establish Krommer’s name and reputation around Europe and become one of the most successful composers of the turn of the 18th century. Both quartets were originally written for string quartet, a genre with which the composer was closely associated, alongside Haydn.

The flute joins the ensemble for the quintet by Süssmayr, a composer remembered for completing Mozart’s Requiem.

This concert is a collaboration between the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and Spazju Kreattiv.
