Personalised Medical Imaging: The future of tailored healthcare

Personalised Medical Imaging: The future of tailored healthcare
Imagine a world where every medical scan is perfectly tailored to your unique body and health needs—this is the future of personalised medical imaging. Personalised medical imaging is revolutionizing patient care by tailoring imaging techniques to each individual’s unique anatomy and health needs. Historically, imaging systems had limited adjustable settings, leading to less accurate diagnostics.
However, advancements now enable the customisation of exposure parameters for each patient, optimising diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure and associated risks. This approach enhances accuracy and safety, especially in x-ray and radioactive imaging. Led by Medical Physics Expert Mr. Eric Pace, current projects focus on customising Computed Topography (CT) scans for larger patients, such as those with obesity, highlighting a commitment to providing precise and safe diagnostics for every patient.
The event is supported by Spazju Kreattiv, the University of Malta, and the Malta Chamber of Scientists.
