Situations seem to escalate much too quickly when love, lies, and jealousy are involved. And with a playwright like Shakespeare, it doesn’t truly help to soften the blow. What starts off as a low-key marriage, rapidly blooms into a fictitious love-affair and envy-driven revenge which only ends up destroying the very same thing which was worth fighting for – love.
