2016 marks the 400th year since Shakespeare’s death. In recognition of this, the British Council in Malta is staging a major programme of events called, Shakespeare Lives, to which this film festival also belongs.

The Shakespeare Film Festival is the result of a collaboration between The British Council and Spazju Kreattiv.
