This presentation reveals the outcomes of Dr Lee Campbell’s two-week research residency ‘Strange Continuities’ at Spazju Kreattiv in April 2019. The aim of the residency was to work collaboratively with the local Maltese blind community, academics working within Disability Studies from the University of Malta and five BA Applied Theatre and Performance students at the University of Malta invited by Campbell to engage in workshops (known as explorations) exploring multi-sensory pedagogies sound, listening and being visually impaired. Strange Continuities forms part of a larger ongoing mixed-method research project ‘You Don’t Need Eyes to See You Need Vision’ which started in 2015 due to the first presence of a student who was visually impaired in Campbell’s Fine Art class.
