In a small and quiet village in Malta, every year the traditional play takes place during Good Friday period. It is an important annual event for this community.

In this play nothing ever changes, just like what happens in everyday life in this village. No parish priest has managed to touch and change anything from this tradition. No actor managed to change a line. Every year everything repeats itself, in the same way… until a new actress appears. A seventeen-year-old girl from another distant village. Now everything will take a different turn. Now the story will change… everything will change.
