Description:

“We Are All Sabir” is an improvisational theatre show that promotes cultural diversity by tapping into common ground. The SABIR project’s main goal is to foster intercultural dialogue through improvisational performances, addressing political, social, and current issues in a spirit of understanding. The audience actively participates by asking yes/no questions on various topics, shaping the direction of each performance. The Sabir Project, a collective of 15 improvisers from 9 Mediterranean countries, uses their mother tongues to reflect the region’s linguistic diversity. The show emphasises the difficulty of taking a definitive stance and highlights diverse perspectives, aiming to stimulate empathy and raise awareness. The collective itself represents diversity in nationality, generation, sexuality, gender, lifestyle, and occupation, united by their love for improvisational theatre and the power of storytelling. This project is supported by collaborations with international festivals and partial funding from the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists.
