Elektronika | Past – Present – Future

Elektronika is a project which aims to develop a historiography of electronic music in Malta. In the past year Elektronika went through a research phase during which the development and evolution of the electronic music scene in Malta was explored. Last March, this first research phase of Elektronika was concluded with a presentation by Michael Bugeja and Toni Sant from the M3P Foundation.

KorMalta Female Ensemble – French Choral Music

Studios St James Cavalier, Castille Place, Valletta

An intimate and Sacred concert for female choir based on the music of French with particular attention to Gabriel Faure and his contemporaries. During the nineteenth century various dynamics were at work aimed at giving new impetus to choral music. The lyrical art French, in all its forms, offers the public numerous choirs that, depending on the success on the scene, come alongside the concert programs. In parallel, the different movements of rehabilitation of religious music in France are based more specifically on a choral repertoire inspired by the return to ancient melodious traditions.

The Storbju Terramaxka and Noise Monger are two noise devices which Electronic Music Malta has commissioned and which have been designed by Mike Desira (assisted by Frank Cachia in the Noise Monger PCB Design).

After the thrilling performances in 2021, KorMalta will once again present a heart-warming evening ofcarol favourites thematic of the Christmas season in collaboration with Spazju Kreattiv.
A varied programme of traditional and contemporary works will be setting the mood for a cheerfulevening, sung and performed in the way they were originally conceived. The concert will once againfeature its’ much-loved hallmark – the audience participation in the carol singing together with thechoir–– together as a musical party.

William Byrd was a prominent English composer of the Renaissance period, particularly known for his sacred choral music, which includes Masses, motets, and anthems, as well as secular vocal and instrumental music.

Synth Meet + AGM

On Thursday 20th July 2023, we will be holding a Synthesizer Meet-Up event together with the Annual General Meeting for 2022. No committee voting will take place, as the current committee's term expires next year. We will be reviewing last year's activities and accounts and then presenting EMM's new brand identity and programme for 2023.
